Obituary of Dolores Helen Wiedman
IN THE CARE OF

Stonebriar Funeral Home and Cremation Services

Dolores “Del” (Kasprzak) Wiedman passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, at the age of 93, surrounded by the love of family, friends, and devoted caregivers.

Del is survived by daughter Sylvia Wiedman; daughter Charlotte (Wiedman) Wiest and husband Ed, granddaughter Taylor, grandson Erik and wife Shannon and great-granddaughters Emma and Natalie; daughter Julia (Wiedman) Hoeting, grandson Brennan and partner Fan Cai, and granddaughter Blair. She is preceded in death by husband Charles (Chuck) Wiedman; father John Kasprzak; mother Sabina (Polak) Kasprzak; brother Henry Kasper and wife Wanda (Latek) Kasper Matia; and son-in-law Robert Hoeting.

Del grew up as part of the Little Warsaw community in Cleveland, Ohio, where her parents operated the Kasprzak Furniture and Appliance store. She graduated from Parma Schaaf High School and Western Reserve University (now Case Western Reserve University). She then worked as a recruiter for a bank and as a flight attendant.

Del was a talented singer and piano player, performing in stage productions in high school and college as well as on the radio and in competitions. Later in life she continued to share her talents leading family and friend sing-a-longs and performing in church choirs.

Del dedicated herself to family life as a devoted wife, a generous and caring mother, and a fun Nana. She worked as an office assistant for Chuck’s dental practice. Del was known for hosting fabulous celebrations complete with delicious feasts and champagne, with her traditional Christmas Eve gathering holding a cherished place in family memory. Del and Chuck retired to Frisco, Texas, to enjoy their golden years.

Forever in our hearts, Del will be remembered for enriching our lives with her warm smile and contagious laughter, her engaging storytelling, and her ability to listen to others with genuine care.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff and friends at Discovery Village Castle Hills for bringing joy to her final year, as well as the team at Merit Hospice for their compassionate, devoted care.

Memorial donations to American Heart Association, Dementia Society of America, or the National Hospice Foundation are appreciated.
