Eric Scott Denton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eric Scott Denton, a beloved father, son, family member, and friend. Though his time with us was far too short, Eric leaves behind a lasting legacy of kindness, laughter, compassion, and the unconditional love he shared with those fortunate enough to know him.

Eric was born in Carrollton, Texas, on August 13, 1985. He was a person who embraced life through the things that brought him joy. He loved collecting comic books, especially Marvel, and was a devoted Star Wars fan. His passion for music was a special part of who he was, and he enjoyed playing bass guitar and performing with several bands throughout his earlier years.

Above all else, Eric’s greatest joy and proudest role in life was being a father to his daughters, Paisley and Astraea. They were the light of his life and the center of his world. Every dream he had and every effort he made was guided by his love for his girls and his hope for their happiness and future.

Eric will be remembered for his genuine heart, his unforgettable smile, and the way he made people feel welcomed and valued. He was someone who never needed to dress up or stand out to make an impression—Eric was most comfortable simply being himself. Whether sharing stories, offering a helping hand, or bringing laughter into a room, he had a special way of making those around him feel at ease. His humor, warmth, and caring spirit will be deeply missed.

Eric leaves behind his cherished daughters, Paisley and Astraea, along with family, friends, and many loved ones who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. While we grieve the loss of a life taken too soon, we find comfort in the countless memories he created and the love he gave so freely.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 10, at Stonebriar Funeral Home, 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, Texas. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., with the service following at 2:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to come as they are, just as Eric would have wanted, to honor his life, share stories, and celebrate the memories he leaves behind.

Though Eric’s journey on earth ended far too soon, the love he shared, the laughter he brought, and the lives he touched will continue to live on. He will be forever loved, forever remembered, and deeply missed.
