

Felix came from Puerto Rico to New York City in 1946. At the time, he only spoke Spanish, so he remembers crying through first grade because he did not know what everyone was saying. He does not know how, but he suddenly could speak English. As a Puerto Rican he loved family, music, and tasty food. He also loved his country. Immediately after high school, he joined the Army National guard. In 1961 when John F. Kennedy, in his inauguration speech, posed the question, “ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” Felix at once when to the Recruiting Office and signed up for full time service. In 1964 he left for his first tour of duty in Vietnam. He was in First Cavalry division.
After he returned from Vietnam, he went to OCS in artillery. He had enough of Infantry in Vietnam. He progressed through the ranks and became a Captain. He was assigned to Germany to support the German troops in charge of nuclear weapons. In 1969 he was approached by a superior officer suggested that he should go to Vietnam because he had not served in Vietnam as an officer. So, off again to Vietnam. (1969 – 1970).
In 1973 he was told that the army had too many Captains and he did not have a college degree so he was to be RIFed, He moved to Virginia after his service and started a home repair and remodeling business. Because of the economy he wanted to move to Texas. In Texas, he worked as maintenance engineer for Intercity Investments for 20 years. In 1992, he married the love of his life, Marilyn. Who remained by his side until his death. In 1997 the made a life changing decision. They went to work for Holiday Retirement as live in managers of independent Retirement Communities. During their time with Holiday Retirement they served as Community Managers, Regional Managers and Special Assignment Managers. They retired in 2012.
Preceded in death by his father, Felix Cintron, Sr, his mother Miguelina Cintron and sister, Milagros Kresse.
Survived by wife of 32 years Marilyn Cintron, Sister Ana Graham. Sons, Felix Cintron III and James Cintron. Step children, Reagan Bruce, and wife Sandra, Natalie Gibson, Garon Bruce and wife, Brandy. Grandchildren, Adam Bruce, Christopher Martinez and wife Isabelle, Eli Bruce, Dagan Gibson, Lilly Bruce and Bella Bruce. Great Grandchildren, Geovany, Ullium and Lizbeth Martinez.
Viewing, Tuesday September 3 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Burial will be Wednesday, September 4 at 10:00 am at DFW National Cemetery.
A celebration of life will be held at Prosper United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 7 at 11:00 am.
