Frank K Meredith

Frank Kerr Meredith, 97, formerly of Pleasant Grove who resided in McKinney, Texas for the past 6 years, went to be with his Savior on Dec. 17, 2019. Memorial service will be held Jan,25 at 2:00 pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 5871 Virginia Parkway, McKinney, Texas.

Frank was born June 7, 1922 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was the last surviving of 7 children born to Charles Duane Meredith, M.D. and Amelia Kerr Meredith. During WWII Frank served as a Corpsman in both the Navy and Marine Corp including duty in the Pacific Theater.

On May 9, 1947 he married Mary Lou McCreight. They remained together 67 years until her death May 5, 2014. In 1951 he completed his BBA & Pharmacy degrees at the University of Texas and began his pharmacy career working with Skillern Drug, Gibson’s and others until his retirement. Frank and Mary Lou attended and faithfully served Pleasant Mound Methodist Church in Pleasant Grove for over 50 years.

All who knew him will miss a gentle and kind man with a great sense of humor who cared for both family and friends. Frank was preceded in death by wife Mary Lou and two Grandchildren, Stephanie and Bryan Meredith. He is survived by his daughter Cindy Meredith Jones and her husband Devin P. Jones; son, Steven D. Meredith and wife, Deborah Baker; by grand daughter Amanda Sue and husband Joseph Richard; and great grandsons Ryan, Kasen and, Cameron; and a very dear and close friend Joyce Marshall of McKinney, Tx.
