Born in Sedalia Missouri, Harold was an identical triplet and one of 10 children born to the late Ernest and Henrietta Anderson Stevens.
Harold graduated from The University of Missouri with bachelor degrees in electrical engineering and business statistics. He received his Navy commission and pilot wings through the Flying Midshipman program. He was an active member of the Flying Midshipman well into his retirement. He taught their resident ground school students including his grandson Scott Craig. After the Navy, Harold spent a career in engineering and management, retiring from The Overhead Door Corporation after more than 3 decades of service.
Harold loved supporting his children and grandchildren in their activities. He could fix or fabricate anything mechanical or electrical and lovingly did so for family, friends, and neighbors. He enjoyed fishing, RVing, and storytelling. He shared his brother Howard’s twinkling blue eyes and love of ice cream. He adored his wife Betty and her gourmet home cooking.
Harold will live forever in the hearts and minds of his loving wife of 73 years Betty; son Mark and wife Jill; son Scott and wife Lori; 4 adoring grandchildren Scott and wife Libby; Emily; Martin and wife Saylee; and Luke.
