

Robert Harrison Vaughan lost his valiant battle with Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy after a tragic accident. Born January 22, 1998 he was called to heaven on January 9, 2017 just days prior to his 19th birthday. He will be consecrated to God at a rosary and funeral mass on Friday, January 13th beginning at 12:00 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in McKinney, TX. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery. A freshman at Richland College, Harrison excelled in his first semester. He was a 2016 graduate of Berkner High School. Harrison was loved and adored by many friends and prayer warriors as he fought Duchenne’s with a sense of humor. Harrison loved animals, history, science, and computer games. He was a world traveler having been to Africa, New Zealand, Australia and thirty-three of the fifty states. He is survived by mother Jeanette Vaughan, father James Douglas Vaughan, step-mother Koebe Vaughan, two brothers, Berry and Ashton Vaughan, sister Paige Vaughan , sister-in-law Heather Vaughan, niece and nephew Sarah and Robert Vaughan, step sisters Sara Zeagler and Stephanie Fowler, as well as maternal grandparents Edmee and Joe Baird, paternal grandmother Lora Todd, and step-grandmother Darleen West. The family wishes to acknowledge their gratitude and love for Dr. Brenda Wong and the outstanding staff at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
