

Houshang Assadi was born to Naser Assadi and Shah Nesa Assadi on September 2, 1948. The second of eight children, Houshang grew up in Abadan and Shiraz with his siblings Jamshid, Parviz, Mohamad, Zohreh, Ziba, Ali, and Sohaila. When school was out for the summer, he liked to go to his grandfather’s house in the village of Davan.
He graduated from Razi Highschool in Abadan, Iran in 1968 and then served in the military for 2 years in the Western part of Iran . Houshang graduated from FIU College and he was a member of Iranian Students organization in the USA. Eventually he went on to be a sous chef at Hyatt Regency Hotel and Sheraton Hotel for 20 years.
He married Mouloud and they had a son, Aresh before she passed away from cancer. He then married Farrah and they had a son, Shaian. Farrah and Houshang were married for 28 years.
Houshang was a loving husband, father and friend. He was full of life, had a great sense of humor and loved to help others in need. He couldn't see anyone in need without trying to help them and he always tried to keep his assistance private. His nicknames are Houshi, Amoo, and King. He enjoyed fishing, football, music, taking walks, swimming and celebrating the Iranian New Year – Nourooz. He also loved to spend time on the beach, in his garden or fishing at the lake. Houshang liked to watch Western movies, National Geographic, wildlife shows, and sports. He listened to the music of Frank Sinatra and traditional Iranian music.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mouloud Assadi and his parents, Naser & Shah Nesa Assadi .
Houshang is survived by his wife, Farrah; sons, Aresh and Shaian; brothers, Jamshid, Parviz, Mohamad, Ali Reza Assadi; and sisters, Zohreh, Ziba, and Soheila Assadi.
Houshang was much loved while he was with us here on earth, and we will continue to love him throughout time and all eternity.
