James Michael Lane passed away peacefully on June 27, 2020 at home in Frisco, TX.

James was born December 16, 1951 in Russellville, AR to Othal and Christine Lane. He was number eleven of thirteen children. His family moved back to Texas shortly after his birth and settled in Mesquite, TX. He was a popular kid, always ready for adventure but willing to help around at home. He was a proud brother and son and later became a beaming father.

He was raised Baptist and followed that faith throughout his life. He proudly served in the US Army. After starting a family, he worked as a Truck Driver with Cook Mail Services until his retirement.

Michael, as he was known to family and close friends, loved being outdoors, riding his motorcycle, making people laugh, and was an avid longtime fan of The Beatles. His favorite place was anywhere he had family to laugh and enjoy life with.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Othal and Christine Lane; siblings, Robin Lane, Royce Lane, Lela Cate, Gale Lane, Martha Walton, and Leon Lane.

He is survived by his daughters: Jessica Gann (JR) of Denison, TX; Jocelyn Lane (Herb) of Frisco, TX; Adrienne Lane (Randy) of Plano, TX; his baby Lindsey Lane of Carrollton, TX; his grandchildren, Rhett King of Plano, TX; Lucas Compton, Laney Gann of Denison, TX; siblings, Carrie Watkins of Fort Worth, TX, Waymon Lane of Bonham, TX, Cecelia Roach of Athens, TX, Helen Riley of Caddo Mills, TX, Deborah Sorrels of Wills Point, TX, Patricia Newport of Terrell, TX; countless nieces and nephews and extended family.

While we will miss him poking and pinching us, we are forever grateful for the man who loved and cared for his entire family.
