Jeanne K. Strzala of Prosper, Texas passed away at home on July 10, 2022 at the age of 74. She was born February 10, 1948 to Stewart R. Brooks and Betty J. Stanton in Point Marion, Pennsylvania. Jeanne spent her early years growing up in Point Marion and at the age of three, she relocated with her parents to Cleveland, Ohio.
She married the love of her life Barry J. Strzala on April 27, 1968 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Bedford, Ohio. Jeanne and Barry relocated to Dallas, Texas in 1972 where she began working for Rockwall International in Richardson, Texas. She also taught Jazzercise at the Presbyterian Church in Richardson. Jeanne made her home in Plano until 1988, and after several relocations her and her husband decided to return to Texas where they made their forever home in 2012.
Jeanne and her husband were active founding members of PALs (Protective Animal League). An animal organization dedicated to the caring, feeding and providing medical needs for animals. She served with her husband as co-president of PALs for five years. One thing about Jeanne is she loved animals. So much that she was known in Plano as the “cat lady”; a title given to her by the local Plano Police. Along with animals, she had a love for dancing, teaching, traveling, and family.
Jeanne is preceded in death by both parents.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Barry Strzala; Brother Stewart Brooks (Sharon); Nieces Vicky Murie (Brad) and Sherry Salvatore (Carl).
