Jeffrey Keith Peterson, 48, of Prosper, TX passed from this life on to his eternal home December 25, 2018. He was born March 2, 1970 to Jimmy and Linda Pfeiffer Peterson. Jeff was the middle child; he grew up in Terrell, TX with his older sister Trisha and his younger sister Laura who was born when he was 16.

Jeff graduated from Terrell High School in 1988. He married Sarah Cole Peterson and together they had three children; Madison, Sullivan, and the light of his life Pfeiffer. He served as a Police Officer for 23 years and a Motor Officer for 11 years. Over the years Jeff gained a few nicknames including SWAT Princess, Just Add Water and Big Guy.

In his spare time he loved collecting guns, WWII figures and riding motorcycles. He loved being by the water especially sitting by a flowing stream. He really loved music! He would put on his headphones and pretend he was a rock star giving a performance. Some of his favorite sayings – “What are we doing?” “You’re walking or you’re riding” and “Blue suit 20 years”

He always wanted to have a good time. He never wanted to hurt anyone. You could be the richest or poorest person, it didn’t matter to Jeff. He talked to everyone. He truly was larger than life.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Peterson; father, Jimmy Peterson; and grandparents, YaYa and PaPou.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah; children Madison, Sullivan, and Pfeiffer; his puppies Zoey and Winston; and numerous family and friends.

Jeffrey was loved while he was with us here on earth, and will be continued to be loved through time and all eternity.

Jeff, I thought it would be a long while before I had to write something like this to you. Your passing took me by surprise and I am saddened that you are no longer with us. There a many things I would like to say to you but the most important thing would be that I will always remember you not only as a friend but as a brother. You are a good man and you positively impacted the lives of so many people to include mine. You never met a stranger, if you did they weren’t for very long. You would give the shirt off your back to help others and your sense of humor was legendary and often got you in trouble. I have known you for over eighteen years and I am better because of it and I will never forget our discussions on Costa Rica. You made many brothers and sisters along the way and know we will all miss you. Rest easy my friend, until we meet again.

I have been fortunate to share 30 years with you, working together, as my friend and my family. You were a wonderful father with an ear to ear smile and louder than life voice that brightened every room you entered. It is heart breaking that you left this earth too soon and will be forever missed.

I’ll never forget having a locker next to you Jeff. The way everyone would know when Peterson had come to work yelling “What are we doing” in your louder than life voice. You were always singing and when we’d say stop screaming you said you were simply talking. You were a great friend and I am gonna miss the random calls. Rest easy my dear friend.

We don’t always understand God’s reason for why someone is call home too soon. But I’m guessing God needed some help with traffic control in Heaven and called up the best man for the job.
Your smile and charm will be miss.

Jeff,
I never met a Man who had so much energy and worked the room like you did. No matter what was happening you always had our attention with your quick wit and sense of humor. I will always remember working with you and our trips to Vegas. You will be missed and I will see you again one day and we can continue our friendship. You were loved and will be missed by all.
God Bless and Rest in Peace my friend.

Jeff,
You were a hoot to work with and a good friend when it mattered. The motor guys called you "Princess" because you were somewhat of a diva. I will remember the good times we had at work and on our off times playing poker and gathering as friends and family. You have left us way to soon and you will be missed greatly. Love you brother.

Our gentle giant,
You gained your angel wings on Christmas. You were called home way too soon. I will forever cherish you sharing my father daughter dance with me. I will always hold close you kissing my forehead and telling me how proud of me you were. You were the life of the party, a jokester, always wore a smile that would light up the room. A voice that was meant to be heard. I’m so greatful to have witnessed a friendship like yours and dad’s. I loved hearing yalls remember when’s. He will miss you greatly as we all will. But we have a lifetime of memories that we will remember. You will always be loved, always missed and we will always hold your memories close. I know Grandma hugged you tight. I can only imagine the celebration that you and your momma had as y’all were reunited. We are truly blessed to have you as our guardian angel❤️

Jeff, we have known each other for most of our life and therefore many of my childhood memories include you. There are so many awesome times, great stories, memorable experiences and a few embarrassing ones too. I will never forget your incredible sense of humor and your "very loud" voice that radiated throughout the room. You left this world way too soon but I have comfort knowing you have reunited with your mom. You have been more like a brother to me than a friend and I will say farewell for now because I know we will meet again.
Love you brother, Rest In Peace!
