After graduation from Texas Tech University, Jerry entered the Army and was sent to Germany.
His hobbies including bowling, watching football, movies, going out to eat, spending time with family and friends.
Jerry is preceded in death by both of his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ina; daughters, Michele Arnold and husband Harvey, Shawna Austin and husband Kevin, and Brandi; son, Bret; grandchildren, Cheyenne O'Daniel and husband Dustin, Coleton, Kaleb, Spencer, and Ryan; great grand daughter, Carmen O'Daniel.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Jerry's name to American Cancer Society.
