

Jerry Fears was born on August 30th, 1950 to Bonnie Yokum and Newell Fears. He grew up in Hopkinsville, KY with his two sisters and one brother. He was athletic as a child and always played outside. Jerry was a loving and caring father and grandfather. He loved to watch his grandchildren learn and grow. He also loved teaching his grandkids how to play baseball. Jerry was a very stubborn man and had an amazing sense of humor. He always made others laugh from his jokes.
He went to Hopkinsville High School and graduated Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN with a degree in radiology and nuclear medicine. He was the BEST x-ray tech in Plano, TX for 30 years. Jerry had always loved to play baseball, go bowling and shoot pool. He has won many competitions in all three. His favorite place to be was wherever his children and grandchildren were. His favorite movie was “The Christmas Story.” Jerry was a part of the Masonic Lodge of Plano. Jerry was one person who always made you feel loved.
Jerry is survived by his three children, Tom Fears, Brittney Fears and Natalie Fears; his two grandchildren, Brayden Pietrucki and Gage Kindle; and his siblings, Jeannie and Jim Fears. Jerry was such a loving and caring father, grandfather, brother and friend to all. Jerry will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving, devoted father and a caring, fun-loving man. He was preceded in death by his parents Newell Fears and Bonnie Yokum, his sister Judy Fears and his daughter Brandi Fears.
