

Joan Holler Thomas was born on June 16, 1934 in Buffalo, New York, to Edgar Holler and Ottilie Smith. Joan was one of six children raised in Buffalo, she fell right in the middle of her siblings: Marge, Hubert, Rita, Carol and Doug. Joan and her brothers and sisters were raised Catholic, her father having built the church they belonged to in Buffalo.
Joan enjoyed being on the family farm in Ohio. She also loved gardening, was a talented artist and a good dancer. She also was an extremely successful Realtor in Orlando, Florida.
Joan married Thomas E. Thomas on August 7, 1954. They were married 22 years until his passing on their anniversary in 1976. She loved her children and adored her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Joan could be described by many as someone who always had a smile to share. A friend once said, “Joan could squeeze the happiness out of anyone”. She will be missed tremendously.
On Wednesday, November 11, 2015, Joan Thomas was called Home. She was greeted in Heaven by her parents Edgar & Ottilie Holler, brothers Hubie & Doug Holler, and her husband, Thomas E. Thomas.
Her life will continue to be remembered and celebrated by her family: son, Thomas J. Thomas and his wife Brenda; daughter, Lori Jamison; daughter, Robin Sims and her husband Dan; Sisters: Marge Warthling, Rita Chipchak and Carol Harrington; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
