Jose DeLeon passed from this life on to his eternal home January 27, 2019 in Frisco, TX. Jose was born to Francisco DeLeon and Alicia Lasoya DeLeon on March 24, 1935. He was the fourth of seven children. Jose grew up in and around Piedras, Mexico. At a young age he began to love the outdoors. As a child he learned to love horses. These loves would follow him through his life.
Jose worked for over 40 years on numerous farms and cattle ranches all over the state of Texas. He landed his final job on the old Bum Bright Ranch in North Carrolton. He loved riding the tractors, working the cattle and riding the horses. Jose retired doing what he loved.
He loved being outdoors fishing, throwing washers or quarters. He loved nothing more than to play backyard baseball. Jose enjoyed cookouts with his family and friends with a good old game of poker afterwards. After a long day’s work, he enjoyed watching TV. He loved to watch old western movies and one of his favorite TV shows, “Gunsmoke”.
On Aril 26, 1973 Jose married Peggy Ruth Boyd in Eagle Pass Texas. They settled in Little Elm, TX. Jose had six children, three with his first wife and three with Peggy. Jose was a loving father, husband and friend. He was always willing to help others especially his family.
Jose is survived by his son, Francisco (Angela), daughter, Carolina (Raymond), son, Joe (Susie), son, Joe (Michelle), daughter, Elisa (Chris) and son, Raymond (Brittany), sisters, Lecha and Shella, and numerous nieces and nephews, twenty-five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Jose was loved while he was with us here on earth and we will continue to love him through time and all eternity. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
