Karen Evans Wunderlick, 51, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2016, after complications from surgery. Family and friends gathered and prayers were offered by many as she completed her outstanding life on earth. Believe us, there is a new angel on the job and heaven may never be the same. Karen was a lifelong achiever, always goal setting and eager to learn and pass her knowledge to others. A true golden rule person, a lover of Christ and a friend to all. A native Texan, born in Houston, grew up in Fort Worth and lived most of her life in Frisco.
Karen is survived by husband Jeff Wunderlick, Frisco, daughter Jennifer Elizalde and husband David and their daughters Jacqueline and Victoria, Houston, Texas. Son C.J. Wunderlick, Frisco, stepson Paul Wunderlick, Frisco, stepdaughter Stephanie Strangis and daughter Savannah, Dallas. Also, mother Judy Biel, Azle, Texas, brother Robert Evans, New Windsor, New York, sisters Dianna Porter and Rebecca Evans, Fort Worth, sister Michelle and husband Chad Lanier, Bridgeport, Texas. Her father Rubin Evans and brother Jerry Evans are deceased.
Always a great student and athletic, Karen was barely sixteen when she graduated high school. A workaholic, she had food industry jobs and simultaneously earned two degrees from The University of Texas at Dallas. Wondering what to do with her M.B.A, husband Jeff suggested she take a part time real estate agent job with Ebby Halliday. And that is when her great career began.
Disappointed by a runner up rookie of the year award, she became a premier realtor in Collin County. She had professional expertise in many areas of residential real estate, earning several designations such as CRS, GRI, ABR, LTG, SRES and others. She was active in the Texas Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, former president of Collin County Association of Realtors, Women's Council of Realtors, Dallas area CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), and Governor of Women's Council of Realtors-Houston. She was an owner-broker at two Collin County Keller Williams offices (Frisco and Celina) and would have done more but husband Jeff said NO. Just 51, she had a good 70 years of service and dedication. A wonderful wavemaker gone too soon but will never be forgotten.
