A celebration of Kim’s life will be held Monday, October 27, 2025, at Stonebriar Funeral Home, 10375 Preston Rd, Frisco, TX 75033.
Family will begin receiving guests at 5 p.m., with the celebration beginning at 6 p.m., followed by refreshments.
In true Kim fashion, she requested everyone wear purple — her favorite color and a symbol of courage, creativity, and love.
Kim loved her family, her friends, and her animals. She was a woman of deep faith and unwavering optimism.
Professionally, she took great pride in her work with Academic Partnerships LLC as an Enrollment Specialist for the University of Texas at Arlington Nursing School.
Helping future nurses begin their journey was one of her greatest joys, and many of her co-workers students went on to become lifelong friends.
Through her many health challenges, Kim remained upbeat and grateful. After receiving a life-saving liver transplant in 2018, she spoke about her donor family with profound appreciation — a testament to her compassion and ability to see blessings even in hardship.
Kim’s joy was found in life’s simple pleasures — shopping trips, meals with friends and family, decorating for the holidays, and whipping up the world’s best egg salad sandwiches (a title her family happily defends).
She also poured her heart into volunteering with Journey of Hope Grief Support Center, where she served as a group leader for grieving children.
The kids adored her — for her empathy and her way of making even the hardest days feel a little lighter. Helping others was simply who she was, and she found purpose and healing in helping others find theirs.
Even now, Kim is still finding ways to help others, so in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Journey of Hope to continue Kim’s legacy of supporting grieving families. Make sure to put her name in the notes section https://givebutter.com/91Tz1d
