Korey Abbott

Korey Blane Abbott, 54 of Burleson, Texas unexpectedly passed away March 8, 2024. He was born on October 8, 1969, in Fort Worth, Texas to the late David Paul Abbott and Judy Ann Veselka Abbott. Korey graduated from Plano Senior High School in 1987. Korey worked in Sales and Management over the course of his career and was most recently employed with Sabre Industries. Korey was a HardKorOU Sooner fan and could tell you just about anything you wanted to know about the Sooner athletic program! He was an avid hunter, golfer and trivia buff. He had many friends and was loved by everyone he knew. Korey was a giving person throughout his life and continues to give the gift of life as he was a proud organ donor.

He was preceded in death by his father David Abbott, his brother Kevin Abbott and nephew Austin Herd.

Survivors include his mother Judy Abbott, his sister Melissa Wakely and her husband Kitt Wakely, his brother Kris Abbott and his wife Cheryl Abbott, sister-in-law Zan Abbott and his nieces and nephews Cortney Brewer, Chandey Abbott, Lyndy Herd, Mason Abbott, Ella Abbott, Alex Wakely, Nikki Wakely, Chris Wakely, KJ Wakely, Ta’nia Wakely and girlfriend Alisa Siddall and her 2 children.

A celebration of life for Korey will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Stonebriar Funeral Home, 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, Texas 75033.
