

Lynda Gay Sayles passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024 at the age of 81. Born July 4, 1942 in Jackson, Mississippi to Annie Mae Myers and Malone Pope Myers. Lynda grew up in Jackson, and later moved to Dallas as a teenager. Lynda graduated from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas in 1960, where she was the star of the Golf Team. After graduating, Lynda pursued a career as a Legal Secretary, before dedicating her life to her children and grandchildren.
Lynda, better known as “Gaga” was the most loving, kind, and funny person, who cherished her grandchildren, never missing a special event, flying to NH for recitals, sporting events or front and center for choir concerts. She was the best mother and grandmother anyone could ask for. Gaga had a knack for fashion and interior design, never leaving the house without her Orange Lipstick and of course, her unsweet iced tea! Lynda was always on the go, she loved shopping, cooking, gardening, and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Lynda was devout Christian and member of Prestonwood Baptist Church for over 45 years. She treasured time spent with her TNG group and attending Church every week.
Lynda is preceded in death by her parents Malone and Annie Mae Myers, her sister Vida Ann Wood, and her former husband James W. Sayles Sr. She is survived by her three children Holley Sayles Lenihan and her Husband Doug Lenihan of Brentwood, NH; Wendy Sayles of Frisco, TX; and Jim Sayles Jr. and his wife Erica Sayles of Alice, TX. Her beloved grandchildren Douglas “Buddy”, Kaitlin, Kelley, Logan, and Reagan. Lastly, of course her beloved companion, family chihuahua, Stella.
