Maren graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Southern California with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology & Theology. Later, she returned to school for her Masters of Arts degree in Teaching, from Dallas Baptist University.
Maren's focus was on helping both adults & children with learning differences. She had her own practice in Dallas, Texas and was a frequently requested speaker on overcoming AD/HD, dyslexia and related subjects. She was so passionate about educating others about topics relating to effective learning. Her most recent book, "Of Different Minds" was designed for parents and families struggling with the everyday battle of learning differences. Maren was always trying to help others.
While in college, she met and fell in love with Robert "Bob" Angelotti. They raised four wonderful children together, Chris, Jackie, Nick & Alicia. Maren & Bob were married for 34 years and were known for the example of unwavering love and commitment they displayed to each other and their family. Maren & Bob's children are grown and Maren recently became a proud and doting grandmother, with the birth of Riley (3), Brayden (2) & Harper (6 mo). She will be missed tremendously.
Maren loved being by the water, either at the beach or at the family lake house in Lake Arrowhead. Being by the water brought peace to her heart. Born and raised in the Catholic Church, Maren had a very strong faith. She was a devout Catholic, and was a member at St. Michael's Catholic Church in McKinney. Everything she did was for the Glory of God. This was our Maren.
On Wednesday, August 19, 2015 Maren Angelotti was called Home. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring teacher and dear friend to all. Her life will continue to be honored and remembered by her husband Bob Angelotti; her children: Chris Angelotti, Jackie Tyson & her husband Daniel Tyson, Nick Angelotti & Alicia Angelotti; her mother Mary Chodzko; her beautiful grandchildren: Riley, Brayden & Harper Tyson; brothers: Jim & Mark Chodzko, sister Nancy Harrell; and many more nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
