“What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing , And what do we think we might see? Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection, The lovers, the dreamers, and me” - Rainbow Connection
Marvin Ellis Buckland was born to Emil and Myrtle in Bryans Mill, Texas on October 13,1945. He was the youngest of three children including Delbert and Elaine.
He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Maureen; Children: Jason (Megan), Brandi (Mark), Katie (Chris) Grandchildren: Bond & Mercy, Marlow & Maxwell, Oliver & Piper, Marvin was the most present dad. Always there supporting and cheering. Always listening and guiding. Together with Maureen, they built a home and safe haven that was welcoming to friends and family for decades.
An avid reader, Marvin spent years researching JFK and all of the history and theories surrounding the president. The memories he could recall and the memories he has made for us are a true treasure.
Marvin would spend his downtime hunting and fishing. Marvin was a fan of music, fancied a sharp cowboy hat, starched wranglers and a good-looking pair of cowboy boots. And boy, did he enjoy cooking a green chili breakfast for anyone and everyone!
Weary
God saw you getting weary. He did what He thought best. He put his arms around you and said, Come and rest. He opened up His golden gates on that heartbreaking day, and with His arms around you, you gently slipped away. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone. A part of us went with you, the day you were called home.
No service at this time. A celebration of life will be held in the months to come.
