Mary Jane (Williams) Juffer passed away from cancer related complications at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in McKinney, Texas with her daughter by her side and the prayers of family and friends on December 6, 2018 at the age of 75.
She was a resident of Frisco, Texas. She moved to the state in 2005 from Decorah, IA.
Mary Jane is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Jane Juffer of Wild Rose, WI., two stepsons, Dr. Kent Juffer of Mason City, Iowa and grandchildren, Katie Juffer and Megan Juffer, Dr. Kirk Juffer and wife Sonja, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Gustaf Juffer (Trish) Gudrun Juffer-Gramilla (John), and Helen Juffer (Ben Davis), her brother Al Monroe Williams (Mary Margret) of Springfield, MO., sisters Jeanie Thomas of Lincoln, NB and Jann Williams of Newport Beach, CA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Herman Juffer of Decorah, IA, parents, Maxine and Monroe Williams of Cassville, MO, and daughter-in-law, Kathy Juffer of Mason City, IA.
She was born on January 20th, 1943 in Aurora, Mo, and raised on her family farm in Barry County.
She attended Cassville High School and later went on to receive her Masters in Speech Pathology from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
She married Dr. Herman Juffer in 1973 and was an independent speech pathologist in NE Iowa for 21 years. She worked for both the Mayo Clinic and Gunderson Hospital for 21 years.
Mary Jane will be remembered as a loving mother, loyal and caring to friends and family.
