

Elaine was born on September 16, 1954, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to Doyle and Joan Peters. She was a woman of strong faith, deep compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and community.
Elaine graduated with honors from Mineral Wells High School in 1972 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Home Economics from Texas Woman’s University in Denton in 1976. She began her professional life as a homemaking teacher for Cedar Hill ISD from 1976 to 1979, where she inspired students with her warmth and knowledge. Her career continued in service to others as a Lead Claims Specialist with the Annuity Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, which later became Guidestone. She worked faithfully for 27 years, retiring in June 2016.
Elaine had a heart for ministry and especially loved working in the church nursery, where her nurturing spirit blessed countless young lives. Her greatest joy was found in her role as a grandmother, delighting in time spent with her beloved grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Morris Ingram, and her parents, Doyle and Joan Peters. Elaine is survived by her loving husband, Troy Troupe, of Frisco, Texas. She leaves behind two daughters: Ellen Clickard and husband Daniel of Italy, Texas, and their son Colton; and Rachel Ponder and husband Jeff of Cedar Hill, Texas, and their sons Philip and Aiden. She is also survived by her sister, Deborah Graham, and husband Jack of Dallas, Texas; and their children: Jason Graham and wife Toby of Plano, Kelly Flores and husband Jason of Carrollton, and Josh Graham and wife Kaytie of Carrollton—along with eight cherished grandchildren. Elaine is also remembered fondly by her stepsisters: Sherry Barber and husband Jim of Thermopolis, Wyoming, and Tina Cavanah and husband Tom of Horseshoe Bay, Texas.

With a Celebration of Life Service Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM Prestonwood Baptist Church 6801 W Park Blvd. Plano, TX 75093 and burial to follow Laurel Land Memorial Park 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway Dallas, TX 75232

Elaine’s legacy of faith, kindness, and devotion will live on through those she loved and served so well. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
