Phillip Frazier, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away in Frisco, Texas, on June 18, 2026, at the age of 56. He was born on October 23, 1969, in Meade, Kansas, and was raised in Ulysses, Kansas, where he developed the strong values, work ethic, and love of family and friends that would define his life.
Phil graduated from Ulysses High School in 1988, where he began his lifelong love of sports. He continued his football career at Dodge City Community College before earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Kansas State University. A proud Wildcat, Phil was a lifelong “bleed purple” K- State fan who could almost always be found wearing purple- whether it was game day or not.
Phil dedicated his career to the field of chemical engineering, applying his intelligence, creativity, and passion for innovation to every challenge he faced. He worked at Cargill, BP Amoco, and spent 25 years with Frito-Lay PepsiCo, where his talents led to multiple patents for his inventions. Throughout his career, Phil was recognized with numerous honors, including the Amoco Technology Awards, PepsiCo Academy of Science Awards, and Chairman Awards. While his professional accomplishments were remarkable, those who knew him best knew that his greatest pride came from the life he built with his family.
Phil loved every sport—truly, every sport. Whether he was playing, watching, discussing statistics, or cheering from the sidelines, sports brought him joy. Beyond sports, Phil had a creative and artistic side. He enjoyed woodworking and took great pride in creating beautiful cutting boards, furniture, and handcrafted pieces that reflected his patience and skill.
Above all else, Phil was a devoted family man. His greatest joy was being a husband to Shannon and a father to Olivia and Hannah. He could often be found cheering from the sidelines at his daughters’ soccer games, attending their dance performances, supporting their dreams, and visiting them while they were away at college. His love, encouragement, and unwavering support shaped the lives of his girls and will remain with them forever.
Phil is survived by his loving wife, Shannon Frazier; daughters, Olivia Frazier and Hannah Frazier; sisters, Rhonda Jean Anderson of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Carla Jo Shull of Collinsville, Texas, and her husband, Bryan Shull; and his nieces and nephews: ChiAnn Jo Braswell, Daulton Anderson, Audra Shelton, Justus Hampton, Colby Shull, Ashton Hampton, Liberty Hampton, Carina Browning, and Miles Browning.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stuart J. Frazier and Sharon M. Frazier; sister, Brenda Rae Hampton; niece, Shelby Anderson; and his grandparents, along with many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
