

Randy was part of Union Endicott High School class of ‘75 and went on to earn a degree in mathematics and computer science from the school of Harpur College of Arts and Sciences at Binghamton University (SUNY). He started his first job at IBM, kickstarting a long career in data communications. In addition to work, Randy had a variety of interests, including building airplanes, designing houses and saltwater reef tanks, along with raising parrots. His love of music showcased his eclectic tastes, and his talent for designing home audio systems resulted in impressive home theater environments. In 2012, Randy retired and took on new interests, including home automation, cooking, and developed an avid interest in pickling.
Randy was predeceased by his parents John and Joan Stachyra; grandmother Josie; two cousins John Sieczkos and Zenia Adamczyk. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Holly; brothers, Jeff (Joanne) Stachyra of Windsor, NY and Robert (Diana McBride) of Harpursville, NY; sister Jill (Tom) Pastrick of Endicott, NY; former sister-in-law Lisa Stachyra of Johnson City, NY; Father and Mother-in law Jon and Priscilla Anderson of Webster, NY; brothers-in-law Tim (Barb) of Penfield, NY and Derek (Karen) of Webster, NY; and cousin Henry Sieczkos of Johnson City, NY. Randy was a very loving uncle to nephew Ethan; nieces Carly, Sydney (Chris), Julie, and Jamie; and grandniece Lila, all of whom were deeply loved as if they were his own children. Randy is also survived by his beloved dog, Reacher.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Stonebriar Funeral Home in Frisco, TX on December 9, 2022 at 2:00PM with Pastor Michael McKibben. An additional memorial service will be scheduled for a later date in New York state.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a disaster relief charity of your choice to provide emergency financial assistance to families who are in immediate need.
