

Robert Blair Hornberger passed away on July 6, 2022 in Frisco, TX. He was born October 14th, 1952 to Herbert and Peggy (Whitt) Hornberger in Dallas, Texas. Blair, as many knew him, spent most of his life in the Dallas area, including Cedar Hill, Fair Oaks Ranch, and Frisco.
He graduated from Kimball High School in 1970 and went on to attend Mountain View College, and ended up receiving a degree in Business Administration from Dallas Baptist College in 1974, he then finished his CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters) in 1995.
Blair worked in the Insurance business for 35 years, as an underwriter and underwriting manager. In his free time he enjoyed cycling, camping, hiking, fishing, traveling and golfing when he was able to go. He was an outdoorsman through and through. He was a member of Preston Ridge Baptist Church and served on the Insurance Councils of Texas.
He was a dedicated man when it came to his children, as they held a special place in his heart. He volunteered coaching youth baseball, football, and soccer. Not only was he a member of Preston Ridge Baptist church but he also assisted with the toddler’s class for seven years.
Blair is proceeded in death by his father Hugo Herbert Hornberger, mother Peggy Lou Whitt, and brother William Bruce Hornberger.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lora Hornberger; sons Jeffrey “Jeff” B. Hornberger and partner Lori Piland of Point, TX. Robert “Bobby” W. Hornberger (Sarah Hornberger) Mansfield, TX; Step-Daughters, Kelsi L. Kiper (Noah Coger) Goodyear, Arizona, and Jacee D. Kuykendall (Zack) of Nashville, TN; Grandchildren Tristan, Emily, Jacob, Adam, Charley, Oliver, and Wyatt; Brother Herbert Brant Hornberger of Frisco, TX. Along with his many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers for Blair's memory, the family would like for donations to be made to Dallas Area Parkinsonism Society and the website is: www.DAPS.org
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 5pm until 8pm. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 11am at Preston Ridge Baptist Church.
