

Chad Newlin, age 61, of Frisco, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, in McKinney, Texas. He was born on August 29, 1964, in Houston, Texas, to Carlyn (Koch) Newlin and Robert (Bob) Newlin.
Chad was self-employed in the commercial cleaning business. He was also involved in the golf industry in various capacities for over 30 years. Chad had a great passion for golf. He was an avid golfer who was fortunate enough to compete at the collegiate level and in several professional events before being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially watching his girls compete in sports.
Chad is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kim Newlin of Frisco, Texas; his two daughters, Taylor Newlin and her husband, Ben, of Sydney, Australia, and Payton Newlin of Frisco, Texas; his sisters, Terry Koontz and her husband, Mike, of Houston, Texas; Chris Thomas and her husband, John, of Missouri City, Texas; and Joy Poole and her husband, Tom, of Katy, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Chad was preceded in death by his parents, Carlyn Newlin and Bob Newlin.
A memorial service will be held at Stonebriar Funeral Home, 10375 Preston Rd, Frisco Texas 75033, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2:00 pm
