Ron and Kathy moved to Texas in 1988.
Ron was an avid Chicago sports fan. In his lifetime he was able to see the Chicago Bears, Sox, Bulls, Cubs, and Blackhawks win championships. When he moved to Texas he had two cities of teams to root for!
His love of sports was passed on to his daughters and all of his grandchildren. He helped coach some teams while his daughters played. He was proud to watch his daughters, son in law, and grandchildren play sports. When he was younger he enjoyed playing basketball, softball, baseball, and tennis.
Ron worked for Montgomery Wards for twenty-four years. Tenet for eighteen years and World Book for five years. He continued to work until he was seventy-one years old. He was proud of his hard work and dedication in each job he had. Ron’s coworkers always enjoyed working with him and for him. He always had a smile on his face and his humor kept everyone laughing.
Ron had a love and passion for collies. He rescued many collies throughout the years. At one point in time, he had three collies at home! He went for walks everyday with them and enjoyed playing with them in the yard.
His family and friends will miss his laugh and smile. He was known for brightening up the room with his infectious laugh. Ron enjoyed going to church and being with his friends and family.
He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
