Sabrina Kay Carothers
July 20, 1961 – July 29, 2018
Sabrina Kay Carothers passed from this life into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on July 29, 2018 with her family by her side. Sabrina was born on July 20, 1961 to her parents, Robert and Martha Clark in Brownwood, Texas. She was the eldest of three children helping to nurture her younger siblings, Bob and Dede while growing up in Lewisville, Texas.
Sabrina graduated from Lewisville High School in 1979. Although Sabrina was her given name, she was known to many as Brina and Gigi to her grandbabies. She thoroughly enjoyed her church communities at both Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in Prosper and Wylie Northeast Church. These were very much family for her! Sabrina was a member of the Wylie Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association for several years.
Friends that knew Sabrina would tell you, that as a child, she was thoughtful and reserved yet, she was tough as nails. Sabrina was most comfortable with her family and friends. She was known for her kind heart, her contagious smile and her love for God.
Sabrina was adventurous and loved to travel. She enjoyed reading and being on road trips. Sabrina was equally happy being outdoors riding a horse as she was inside reading a book. She invested her life in other people, especially her children and grandchildren, through ministry and quality time.
When asked where her favorite place to be was, she would immediately respond anywhere with her husband, Kerry. Back in the day, Sabrina was a huge Carman fan. She was addicted to Hallmark movies, particularly their Christmas movies. Sabrina enjoyed serving in a number of Church families including the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship and the Northeast Family of Churches. She valued relationships and always sought to create plenty of them.
Sabrina married the love of her life, Kerry Carothers in Lewisville, Texas in 1984. Together they have four children. Her memory will live on through her parents: Robert and Martha Clark of Lewisville, TX; her husband, Kerry Carothers of Wylie, TX; her children: her son, Joseph Carothers and his wife, Brittany, and their two children, Rowan and Ella of Allen, TX; her daughter, Stephanie and her husband, Kyle Dorman and their children, Peyton, David and Austin of Wylie, TX; her daughter, Chelsea and her husband, Brad Davis of Denton, TX; and her son, Matthew Carothers of Arlington, TX; and her siblings, Bob and Darlene Clark of McKinney, TX; and Dede Clark Curtis of Flower Mound, TX.
Sabrina was loved while she was with us here on earth and will continue to be loved through time and all eternity. We miss you Sabrina.

Brina and I were just a couple of silly teenage girls at Shiloh when I knew her. Whether we were playing volleyball in the parking lot, having sing-a-longs with Eddie or heading to the One Way House for Monday night Bible study; we were all about having fun. Even at a young age, Sabrina was a powerful prayer warrior, loyal friend and a shining beacon to all. I have not seen her for decades but as I sat at her life celebration today I could not help but smile. Everyone who spoke described my very good friend whom I dearly loved.
Blessings to the Carorhers, Clark, Hardy bunch. May the foreverness of God's love soon lift all sorrow from your hearts.

Kerry and family,
We were so sorry to hear of Sabrina’s passing. I loved her from the first time we met at church. I admired her for her faith in God and love for her family and friends. She had the sweetest smile! She will never be forgotten! Blessed to have known her and to call her my friend. Praying for you all!

Wow, I can't believe your gone! I will miss so much about you...your smile, your positive outlook, your Godly guidance and maybe most of all your infectious laugh. I still hear it and hope I always will! You have left behind so many who love you, but so many that will see you again some day.
I know you are happy, free of pain, and praising our glorious Father!!! Love you Brina and look forward to the day I see you again!

Sabrina was my next door neighbor growing up. A couple days every week I’d knock on the front door & Sabrina would answer so I’d ask if Stephanie & Chelsea could play. There were some school years she was my ride home, she made me lunch occasionally & I’m sure gave me band aids many times. I can only think of one time I wasn’t playing nice & like any mom got on to me, but could just tell me to go home if I didn’t straighten up. As a kid I just thought of her as my adopted mom. Such a sweet & wonderful lady!

Sabrina and I worked together at Walmart back in late 79 & 80 together. I admired how she always was the same person to everyone...kind, sweet, genuine and always showed her love of Christ. I didn’t run in the same circles, I was a couple years too young, but she did always make me feel like one of the gang. Sabrina left a lasting impression on me and many more and I’m sure she will be terribly missed. My deepest condolences for Kerry, Sabrina’s children/grandchildren, Sabrina’ parent, siblings and many extended famiky and friends. May God give each of you peace and comfort.

Sabrina and her family were members of Shiloh Church , years ago when she was a teenager. My husband Rob and I knew her then and she was a precious youth, full of the presence of Christ. A delight to know and be involved with. In later years she and I became Facebook friends and it was wonderful to have more contact with her in that way. We are very sorry for the loss of Sabrina but we know it is temporary until we see her again in Heaven. May the Lord comfort and hold in His arms the family at this time and know we are praying for all the Clark family and friends.

What a joy it was to know Sabrina. Her walk with the Lord was so very transparent. All of us in the Buchanan family send our love and prayers to Kerry and family.
