Scott Calvin Forst, age 60, passed away on January 23, 2023. Scott played many roles: beloved husband of 30 years to Deanna Forst; father of sons Jeffrey and wife Ellen, Bryan and fiancé Mayra, and Bailey; and steadfast brother of Linda Duke, Janice Cellier, Barrie Angelo and Kim Camardo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Betty Forst. Born in Bronxville, New York on February 12, 1962, Scott grew up enjoying horse racing and salted bagels. He received his bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University. A dedicated fan of Florida State University, Scott treasured watching college football games with his three sons.
Moreover, his black lab Sammy (Seminole) and Kelo will miss throwing the frisbee with him in the backyard. Scott was the ultimate protector and provider for his family. He spent three decades in the mortgage banking industry, with leadership positions at Ocwen Financial, NovaStar Mortgage, and City Bank. He also lent his expertise as an expert witness both on the federal and state level. Most of all, he loved his family. Scott and Deanna would take cruises throughout their marriage in remembrance of the way they met. Scott especially took pleasure in bringing his sons on these trips, finding new and old locations in the Caribbean.
A memorial service will be held at Stonebriar Funeral Home in Frisco, Texas on Saturday, January 28 at 1 p.m. A burial of ashes will be held at a later date.
