In lieu of flowers please consider making a memorial contribution to the sites listed below.

Sherry Denton passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16 2020. Sherry loved to travel and was always up for an adventure. She could light up a room with her smile and personality, and she always made a friend no matter where she was. Her greatest joy in life were her children and she devoted herself to make sure they always felt loved. She took pride in raising them to be strong and resilient like herself. Sherry’s family was told many times by others that they felt she was one of the strongest people they had ever met, and we know this to be true. She would want everyone to rejoice that she is with our Lord, and that we will see her again one day.

Sherry is survived by a multitude of friends and family who will miss her greatly.

There will be a private family burial followed by a Celebration of life to be announced at a later date.

Sherry truly did light up the room with her personality and smile! She was kind and compassionate. She loved her family deeply. She was spunky and always put up a good fight...

My continued thoughts and prayers are with the Denton family in this time of mourning and celebration for the life that Sherry lived out loud on a daily basis!

God's Blessings to each of you -

This morning on my way to work, I was listening to 100.7, a Christian Station, and the topic was "The Value of Friendship" – it made me think of Sherry 'right off the bat'! 
The last visit I had with Sherry was in mid-February when she was in the hospital. When I walked in her room, she welcomed me as if she was not even sick. I could not believe how feisty & upbeat she was! While I was there she got a call from 'a family member' asking her how to cook one of their favorite dishes.
So, Sherry patiently explained it step by step -even down to what pan to use to cook it in BUT adding "Don't mess up my cabinets - I spent a lot of time organizing them" - as she rolled her eyes and smiled!
I couldn’t help but laugh - It was such a pleasure to meet Scott, Taylor and Josh – all of whom I heard so much about.
I am so grateful for that visit. As we said our good byes that night, she had such a peace and calmness about her- as if everything was fine. I so admired her strength and unwavering faith in God

Dear Sherry,
I hope you know how much I valued you and our friendship. You were a true blessing from God and although you did not get an opportunity to stay with us here longer, I am so happy to have known you. Your laughter, smile, and courageous spirit will always be here in my heart. You were an inspiration to me and countless others, and an amazing mom, team member and a true friend. “Boss Lady” will forever remain on my desk and my 8-Ball is telling me to “Ask Again Later”, so as soon as I figure out what to ask, I will, again later. (I hear you laughing) From the very bottom of my heart, I miss you. Life has been forever changed with your absence. Until we meet again, my sweet friend, I love and miss you. Give Charlee a big ‘ole hug for me.
Love & hugs, Kimberly

Sherry was such a joy to work with. We shared a love of discussing the latest Louis handbags and designer fashions. She even gave me advice on dating and joked with Dawson on trying to figure out the name of the guy. She knew I would never tell a soul, but some of the names she called out to guess, many of them made us laugh and brightened up our days.

She loved her family and I enjoyed hearing stories of her compassion behind them. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. May God bless and keep you.

Sherry was a my friend and my go to gal. She was always there for me whether it was work related or just a mom to mom issue. Our West Texas roots and our love for Red Raider football could keep a conversation going for hours if allowed. She loved being a mom and she loved helping others. Her bravery through this battle will be what I remember the most. I will miss seeing her walk through the doors at work, but I know she is in a better place. My condolences to the family, she truly was a blessing to have in our lives.

Sherry was an outstanding colleague who loved serving and supporting so many people. She anticipated needs before we ever had to ask for something at the office. Sherry also often talked about her family, and it was obvious she loved them so much. She was a blessing to everyone who knew her and will be missed.

I had the true pleasure to sit next to Sherry at Conifer, sharing work and stories of her love for her children over the cubicle walls. She was funny, engaging and always went the extra mile to care for her team - whether it was making sure a birthday had the best cupcakes in town or finding a garage sale Christmas tree to be sure our department was ready for the holidays.
Truth is revealed in hard times and Sherry showed bravery, faith and grace beyond comprehension. I was in awe of her tenacity and fighting spirit. She is greatly missed every day.
Heartfelt condolences to her family.
