Susan Diane Taylor, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, in Frisco, Texas. Born in Detroit, Michigan, May 15, 1947. Susan lived a life defined by her faith in God, devotion to family, creativity, and a genuine appreciation for the beauty found in the world around her.
Susan attended Spring Arbor College in Spring Arbor, Michigan, and went on to build a successful career as an accountant. She was especially proud of her years as Controller of Glendora Country Club in Glendora, California, where she served from 1999 until her retirement in 2009. Her intelligence, dedication, and attention to detail were hallmarks of both her professional and personal life.
Outside of her career, Susan was a woman of many talents and passions. She found joy in knitting, crocheting, sewing, photography, and clay sculpting. She was also an accomplished pianist, sharing her love of music and bringing beauty to those around her through her gift. Her creativity was woven into so many aspects of her life, and she had a wonderful ability to turn simple moments into something meaningful.
Above all, Susan cherished her family. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Paul Taylor; her daughters, Melissa Stubenazy and Christine Bartol; her brothers, Matthew Moyer and Thomas Moyer; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry her love and memory with them for generations to come. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Barbara DeFazio.
Susan's life was a beautiful collection of faith, love, family, music, creativity, and memories. Though she will be deeply missed, the gifts she gave to those who knew and loved her will remain—in the music she played, the things she created with her hands, the photographs she captured, and most of all, in the hearts of her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Rock Creek Church, 2860 West First Street, Prosper, TX 75078.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that contributions be made in Susan's honor to the Dallas Area Parkinson Society, 12900 Preston Rd., Ste. 320, Dallas, TX 75230, or online at daps.org.
