

Tom Travis, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and faithful servant of Christ, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on April 28, 2026, in McKinney, Texas. Tom was born in New London, Connecticut in 1935. He leaves behind a legacy marked by love, humility, and quiet strength.
For 63 years, Tom shared a deep and enduring marriage with his beloved wife, Diane. Their life together was a testament to steadfast commitment, abiding faith, and unwavering devotion, forming the foundation of a close and loving family.
He is survived by his two sons, Bob (Julie) and Dan (Jennifer), and his three cherished grandchildren, Austin, Kylee, and Cortland. Tom found great joy in his family, and his grandchildren brought him special delight and pride.
Tom was a proud patriot who served in the United States Army in the 1950s. He continued a life of service as a police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department, faithfully protecting his community. Later, he concluded his professional career as a Quality Assurance Manager working on the Space Shuttle engines for Rockwell International in California where he safely kept America at the top of the space program.
Outside of his professional life, Tom was an avid tennis player and a dedicated assistant tennis coach, investing in the lives of young athletes over many years for the Stonebridge Ranch Beach and Tennis Club.
Above all, Tom was a man of deep and abiding faith. He lived with a steadfast love for the Lord, guiding his life with grace and conviction. His family finds comfort in the assurance that he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior.
Tom will be remembered for his steady character, his servant’s heart, and the enduring love he so generously gave to his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Stonebriar Funeral Home, 10375 Preston Rd., Frisco, Texas 75033, on May 4, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
A Committal Service with Military Honors will take place at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211, on May 5, 2026, at 9:00 am.
