Tim had an inexhaustible desire to read, learn, and grow more in living out his faith, which were each reflected in his life in many ways. He earned his BS in Physics from Eastern Mennonite University, MS in Computer Science and MBA from University of Alabama Birmingham, which were all part of his first career at UAB as a software engineer. Upon his retirement he continued pursuing his Masters of Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary where he met his first wife, Nan. He went on to pastor at Filer Mennonite Church in Idaho for about 10 years.
Tim loved photography, especially nature, and enjoyed participating in HAM radio activities. He could spend hours on his computer engaging his innate curiosity through reading, researching, and diving deeply into technology, science, and theology. But most important to him were God, family, and friends. He poured his life into others through grief support, men’s Bible studies, informal mentoring, and being a kind, generous, loyal friend to all he met.
Tim was preceded in death by his first wife Nan, his parents, his older brother James, and his sister Mary Beth. Tim is survived by his wife Ginger; brother Luke and sister-in-law Becky; brother-in-law Richard; nieces Hannah (Marc), Christy (Trent) and Elisa (Sean); nephews Andrew (Abigail), Adam (Rebecca), Rick (Vicky), and Jared (Christina); and 8 grandnieces and nephews. Tim took Ginger’s daughters, Stacie and Kellie, into his heart as his own, as well as her grandchildren Leah, Emily, Parker, Melia and Aisley.
