I grew up in Grandview with Valerie. She was everyone's friend. We shared a birthday and every year since I can remember I have thought of her (and Jody Standridge!) on our birthday. I was so pleased to re-connect with her on Facebook a few years ago and have the chance to see her all grown up with a beautiful family of her own. It is hard to imagine a world without Valerie in it. I am praying for peace and comfort for all those who loved her.
