Jean graduated from Forsyth High School in 1957 and attended one year of college before meeting, and eventually marrying her sweetheart, Richard Eyler on January 18, 1959. They celebrated 62 years of marriage in 2021, before Richard’s passing in March of that year. Jean pursued several career paths early on, before choosing mortgage banking as her passion. Both her and Dick retired to Magnolia, Texas in 1999 on 3 ½ acres of land. This provided the opportunity to show off her gardening/landscaping skills and become a beloved part of the community. Jean’s loves were her dog Katie, gardening, baking and her country. The greatest gift Jean gave was of herself to everyone that knew her. She truly had never met a stranger.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Richard Eyler and brother Leonard Kimball.
Jean is lovingly remembered by her sister, Donna Meisburger (Dan), and her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Kimball. She is also survived by her sons, Robert Frederick Eyler (Donna) and Thomas Kimball Eyler (Kim); her grandson, Robert Joseph Eyler (Krystal); and her great-grandchildren, Robert V. Eyler, Jean F. Eyler, and Kira L. Eyler. In addition, she is survived by her step-granddaughter, Haley Corzo (Sam).
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on June 28th, 2025 at Oak Grove Methodist Church, located at 4725 FM 720 W. Little Elm, Texas 76227.
