

Vickie graduated from McClain High School, where she met the love of her life, William (Bill) Crossman. They were married in June of 1970 and were happily married for nearly 45 years. After a brief stint in Dallas, they returned to Tulsa, settling next door to her childhood home and raising their two children there. She worked for over 30 years at Tulsa Technology Center, making many friends and fond memories in the process.
Throughout the years, Vickie was active in her church, attending Turley United Methodist Church and Saint Mark’s United Methodist Church in Tulsa. She was active in the choir and helped in the office at Turley UMC.
Vickie was a loving mother and grandmother. Vickie adored her role as a grandmother, going to school and sporting events, as well as simply being present for them. She enjoyed visiting with her numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Part of a large, extended family, Vickie cherished the holidays and enjoyed preparing meals with Bill and her mother for their numerous gatherings at “Big Grandma’s house”. Beyond faith and family, Vickie was a diehard sports fan, with OU her passion.
Vickie is survived by her brother, Jimmy Lewis and wife Anita; son Michael Crossman and wife Linda; daughter Melanie Crossman and partner Johnnie Thompson; and grandchildren Nathaniel and Nicholas Crossman, Alex Thompson, and Allie Crossman; and a large extended family.
Vickie was preceded in death by both her parents, Harold and Verlon Lewis, and her beloved husband, William Crossman.
A service to honor and celebrate Vickie’s life will be held Saturday, March 8th at 1 PM at Turley United Methodist Church, 6050 North Johnston Ave, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74126.
