His service to our country and our family will forever be thankful for. Wayne married Neva McClelland on January 25, 1969 and they became the parents of four children, J, Jeff, Cyd and Ian. It was Neva who dubbed him "Doug", and he answered to it. Doug loved his family and they became very involved with church and close friends. He and Neva are members of Prestonwood Baptist Church, North Campus. Doug was also a Member Coordinator of Adult Bible Fellowship; Publicity Coordinator, Global Mission Outreach Volunteer, Special Events Coordinator and Shephard Group Leader.
When Doug wasn't working or helping at the church, he enjoyed listening to Country Western music, gardening and playing with his grandchildren and dogs. He knew he wasn't perfect, and worked hard to be a better man, every day. He had a great sense of humor, was an excellent writer, and had an excellent singing voice.
