Eleanor Elizabeth Jordan

A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with the Reverend John Sharp presiding. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Mrs. Jordan was born in Front Royal on April 22, 1943, a daughter of Florine Pines Robinson and the late John Robinson. She was a retired clerk from the A&P Superfresh. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her mother Florine Robinson; her husband, Alphonso Jordan; her sons, Alphonso Rozier Jordon of Sandston, Michael Jordan of Columbus, OH, and Tony Starks of Sandston; her god son, Adrian DeNeal; her brothers, John Robinson and Robert Robinson; her sisters, Idabelle Robinson, Carolyn Freeman, Gloria Barbour, Victoria Jordan (Charles), Joan Carter, and Loretta DeNeal (Randolph); five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her father, Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her son, Brian Gerard Jordan.
