George Eugene Bowen, age 84, of Front Royal passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at his home.

A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper.

Mr. Bowen was born in Culpeper County on March 29, 1927, a son of the late Eugene and Mary Yowell Bowen. He was a pipefitter for Avtex Fibers, a member of Moose Lodge 829 and was Methodist by faith.

Mr. Bowen is survived by his brother, James Bowen and wife Gladys of Falls Church, Cecil Seabaugh and Harvey Bowen both of Winchester; his sister, Nancy Franklin of Langley, OK and an aunt, Myrtle Leake of Culpeper.

In addition to his parents Mr. Bowen was preceded in death by his brothers, Dallas Bowen and William Spicer and a sister, Virginia Deal.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home. Personal condolences may be offered to the family online at
