John Leonard Harmon

The family will memorial gathering on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home. All other services will be private.

Mr. Harmon was born in Tazwell on August 3, 1932 a son of the late Charlie and Kate Blanch Jones Harmon. He worked for the Town of Front Royal in road maintenance, Warren County Parks and Recreation and as a security guard at the Avtex clean-up site. He had been active in the Eagles and enjoyed the Warren County Senior Center.

Mr. Harmon is survived by his wife, Joyce Harmon; his sons, Steve Harmon of CA, Tom Gaile and wife Robin of Front Royal; and Robert Gavin of Front Royal; his daughters, Crissy Shamblin of OH and Patricia Koon and husband Steve of OH; his twelve granddaughters; and his four great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Harmon was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Harmon.
