Thursday, November 12, 2015 at her home in Front Royal, VA with her
loving family by her side. From her birth in Manassas, VA on June 28,
1958 to her death she cherished, valued, and loved her family and many
friends she had throughout her lifetime.
She was born in Manassas to William and Ethel (Hess) Crum and was one
of six children. Just after high school she met the love of her life, Danny
Allen Marshall, and they were happily married for 39 years. Karen and
Danny married on September 18, 1976 in Manassas. Following their
marriage Karen was a housewife raising four children while Danny worked
in the bread business were he was the Owner & Operator of D&K
Enterprize.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and loyal friend. She
loved every person she met and to many of her children’s friends she was
“Mom” as well. Many of her friends would say she was hilarious, fun, loved
to laugh, and the life of the party. She always knew how to have a great
time and enjoyed get togethers, cookouts, and anything as long as she was
with family and friends. She had a heart of gold and would give anyone the
shirt off her back, she was the epitome of a giving and loving person. She
would do anything for her family and always knew what to say to make
things better, as any great wife and mother knows how.
Left to honor Karen and remember her love are Karen’s four children,
Daniel Marshall, Michael (Erin) Marshall, Katie (Jason) Dingus, and Jessica
(Amanda Reinoehl) Marshall; four grandchildren; Alexander Dingus, Aaron
Rock, Sadie Marshall, and Gunnar Marshall; two sisters, Linda (James)
Quaid and Teresa (Lawrence) Weber; two brothers, Gary Crum and Robert
(Sandy) Crum, and many nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister Marilyn.
