Shirley Stone Stone Royston

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Reverend Joseph Swack officiating. Burial will follow in Rockland Cemetery.

Mrs. Royston was born in Leesburg on April 19, 1948, a daughter of the late Wendell Garfield and Frances Marie Dillow Stone. She was a receptionist for Ferguson Enterprises. She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church in Hamilton, and attended Rockland Community Church where she had been a Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed movies, crossword puzzles and word searches.

She is survived by her step-son, William S. Royston, Jr. and wife Tina of Front Royal; and her brother, Wendell Stone and wife Gloria of Winchester; and numerous aunts and uncles.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Royston was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Royston, Sr. in 2011.

Pallbearers will be Billy Royston, Jr., John Thompson, Bobby Allison, Wayne Stone, Mark Eshelman and Justin Williams.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
