

Lyle Wesley Hollandsworth, 72, of Ontario, Oregon passed away August 14, 2017. Lyle was born August 11, 1945 in Cottonwood, Idaho to Oren Wesley Hollandsworth and Edna Lucille (Nissen) Hollandsworth. He lived and worked on the family ranch in Ellensburg, Washington until he left home at the age of sixteen. He worked for the Forest Service for a period of time. He joined the Merchant Marines in 1967 in Seattle, Washington. He lived and worked in the Seattle area for different companies. He married Margaret Elaine Shore and they had a daughter Jodie born January 29, 1975. He attended a heavy construction school learning to operate large land moving equipment. He moved to the Treasure Valley area in 1994 and remained there until his death. He drove for Western Construction of Boise, Idaho for several years.
After retirement, he spent much of his time working in his yard and flower beds. He took great pride in the results of his hard work. He always had a project going, or one in mind, for the inside or outside of the house. He loved his pets, Abbey, Sara and Gray. He was a good neighbor and friend helping others when they needed help. They, in turn, helped him with his many projects.
He was preceded in death by his parents Oren Wesley Hollandsworth and Edna Lucille Hollandsworth.
Survivors include his domestic partner of 24 years, Donna Terrell of Ontario, Oregon, daughter Jodie (Erik) Moll, grandchildren Jacob Bisenius, Emily Bisenius, Garrison Moll, and Wyatt Moll all of Arlington, Washington, brothers James Oren Hollandsworth of Fruitland, Idaho, Gene Willard (JoAnne) Hollandsworth of Tacoma, Washington and his Uncle Lou Hollandsworth of Cottonwood, Idaho.
A celebration of life will be held at Hilltop Cemetery (690 Hilltop Rd) in Nyssa, Oregon September 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. (MST). There will be a No-Host gathering at the Country Kitchen in Ontario, Oregon following the service from 1:00 p.m. (MST) to 3:00 p.m. (MST) for family and friends.
