Ahmed Zakeria Stipanovic

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Ahmed Stipanovic, age 9, beloved son, brother, family member, friend, and noble warrior, lost his courageous battle, fought with quiet dignity to Rhabdomyosarcoma on August 2nd, 2019 at his home in Windsor, Colorado surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 17th, 2009 to Natalie and Robert Stipanovic in Louisville, Kentucky where he resided before moving with his parents to Windsor, Colorado in August of 2016.

During his short life, Ahmed had a positive impact on all who knew him with his gentle, caring and thoughtful way of being. All who knew him, even just a little, have lost a shining light in their lives. Ahmed will be missed every day by his Mother, Natalie (Brinkerhoff); his Father, Robert; his brothers Callaway and Noah; his maternal grandparents; Lois Huisenga and Allen Brinkerhoff; his paternal grandparents, Ljubica and Milorad Stipanoovic; along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many great friends.

He was preceded in death by his great grandmother and great grandfather, Grace and Lloyd Burnside, step-great grandfather Fred Hern, as well as Jean and Art Brinkerhoff.

I knew Ahmed when he was very young. I was struck by his inquisitiveness and curiosity. He was smart and well behaved. And so darn cute. My heart aches at the loss of this sweet little boy and my condolences to his immediate and extended family and friends.
