I had Andres when he was a freshman in my 9th grade English class. He was always very quiet, but constantly smiling. He probably thought I was a bit silly, always dancing around, trying to drum up enthusiasm for literature. :) During the Romeo and Juliet unit, he and his friend Jose were having fun and Andres took a sharpie and drew a little Juliet face on one of his fingertips and a little Romeo on the other, and make them dance and fight. He was cracking up all the people around him. Later, I saw Andres play in so many soccer games, and he was also an Ambassador in my room, working with some of my freshmen. Such a sweet, earnest kid. I'll miss him. Much love to you and your family. 

Our hearts are breaking for you.  We are all so sorry about this tragedy.  I have so many memories of Andres, Mason, and Conor playing soccer together - from the time they were 5 all the way through high school and club soccer.  We could always count on Andres to score!  And I always enjoyed sitting with you on the sidelines Maria, practicing my Spanish with you.  I also have a memory of Andres spending the night at our house and doing a back flip on our trampoline.  That flip inspired Mason and Conor - everyone was doing back flips after that!  I loved Andres' energy and spirit.  I will always remember his smile and the twinkle in his eyes.
