She was born in Boston and lived in Hamilton, Massachusetts, until she went away to school at Wheaton College where she played volleyball and basketball and was an Honor Society member. After marrying Gary Lausch in 1972 and moving to California, she worked for Fuller Theological Seminary and taught elementary school. Whether teaching in the public schools, teaching Sunday school or "teaching" her grandchildren, she always expressed her love of learning and her love for children.
She was much loved and will be missed deeply by her husband of 50 years Gary Lausch, her kids (and kids-in-law), David Lausch, Heather Poynter-Lausch, Julia Lausch and Jason Poynter-Lausch, her siblings Cary Barker and Charles Barker, and her grandkids Kiara, Micah, Adalei, Dakota, Teo and Solaire - not to mention all the other family and friends on whom she has made such a huge impact over the course of her life. We take comfort knowing that now she is in heaven with her Lord and Savior and her loved ones that passed on before her.
We will have a Celebration of Life service on Oct 8 in Fort Collins at Immanuel Christian Reform Church at 2pm.
For those of you who cannot make it in-person, it will be live-streamed here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCn45dexkzL1AspFTs13iSWg
