Audria Erline Clark

Audria was born on August 2, 1932, in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was the daughter of Gwendolyn O. (Piper) and Harold V. Yarber. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School, carrying forward the steady determination and practical wisdom that would mark her life.

Audria began her working years as a “Baby Bell” telephone operator, and worked her way up to office manager. She retired from Mountain Bell telephone company in 1982. In time, she returned to work at CSU, retiring for a second time twenty years later. Across decades of service, she was known for reliability, capability, and the quiet competence that earns lasting respect.

On October 22, 1949, Audria married Harl P Clark in Piggott, Arkansas. Together, they built a life rooted in devotion and shared purpose, including extensive work side by side on the Navajo Project.

Audria’s family was the center of her heart. She is survived by her two daughters, Tress and Tonya; her grandchildren Alyssa and Matthew, as well as her grandchildren Brynna and Branden; and great-grandchildren Jackson, Chloe, Decker, Eli, Maci, Esperanza, Isabela, Javier, as well as Mayah and Noe.

Other survivors include Alyssa (Jesus) Quintero; Matthew (Mary Beth) Pettera; and Brynna (Noe) Aguirre.

She was preceded in passing by Harl, the love of her life.

Audria most loved helping friends and family when she could, and she never underestimated the value of a good visit—time shared, stories exchanged, and the simple comfort of being present. After retirement, she and Harl traveled widely throughout the United States, spending time in Arizona, Florida, and Texas, and making memories along the way.

In her later years, Audria spent the end of her life with Good Sam’s, where she found a cherished community of friends. Her legacy is carried forward in the lives she nurtured and the care she so freely gave—remembered, above all, as the greatest mother ever.

A Celebration of Audria's Life and the impact it made on everyone she touched will be held on Thursday, August 13, at 3:00pm at the Drake Chapel of Allnutt Funeral Service, 650 W Drake Rd, in Fort Collins, Colorado.
