Bobby Lee Andersen, 93, of Fort Collins, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024. Bob was born in Proctor, CO, September 25, 1931 and was one of nine children born to Edward C. and Helen Andersen. Bob graduated in 1950 from Padroni High School. He served in the US Air Force for 4 years then graduated from CSU in 1960 with a degree in Geology. Bob married Judy Sherwin, December 22, 1957. After graduation Bob began his career with Ideal Cement Co. (LaFarge Holcim). His job with Ideal included many travel adventures throughout the United States.
Aside from work travels, the family enjoyed trips to Hawaii and Costa Rica, as well as yearly camping trips with grandchildren Morgan and Adam.
Bob loved spending time with his family, rock collecting, bicycling and landscaping the yard one concrete square at a time!
Bob was a member of the Fort Collins Masonic Lodge and a Lifetime Member of the Elks Lodge.
Surviving Bob is his wife, Judy; two daughters, Denise Andersen of Denver, CO and Karen (Gregg) Kinnes of Thayne, WY; grandchildren, Morgan (David Altenhof) Kinnes of Thayne, WY and Adam (Ali) Kinnes of Palisade, CO; and great-grandson, Odin Altenhof. Bob is also survived by sisters, Phyllis McNear and Betty Bredehoft; brothers, Dick and Bill; and countless nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Homer, Howard, Ed and Leonard.
