Burt Dolgin

Burt Dolgin, 86, passed away July 28, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Iona; dear father of Joel (Yehudit), Michael (partner Lisa), and Larry (Wendy); loving grandfather of Shlomo (Rina), Miriam Brocha, and Chaim, Andrew, Matthew (Lauren), and Zachary, Tailor and Coby; specially remembered by Declan; dear brother of the late Morton (Pat) Dolgin; and husband to the late Marilen Goldman.

Burt was born in Chicago, Illinois to Muriel and Maurie Dolgin. He attended University of Illinois, earned his bachelor’s degree from Roosevelt University, and served in the Army Reserves. He was an avid supporter of Chicago sports teams, rooting for the Bears, Bulls, and Cubs throughout his life. Burt built his career first as a CPA and then as a Marketing Executive in thermography. Throughout his career, he and Iona lived in Illinois, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts before retiring to Colorado in 2006. In retirement he became an expert meatball and Matzo Ball roller. Burt was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, role model, and family man, having spent 60 years married to Iona and building a multigenerational family that spans continents.

A funeral service for Burt will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Allnutt Funeral Service – Drake Road Chapel, 650 W. Drake Rd., Ft. Collins, Colorado 80526. Following the service will be a burial at 2:30 PM at Grandview Cemetery, 1900 W Mountain Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80521. Shiva will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on both Wednesday July 31, 2024 and Thursday August 1, 2024 at 1901 Topanga Ct., Fort Collins, Colorado 80528.
