Interment will be in the Gettysburg Cemetery in Adams Township. Mr. Britton passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 in Fort Collins.
Clarence Keith Britton, known to his family and friends as Keith, was born July 24, 1930 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Herbert Kline and Elsie Jane (Fonner) Britton. Keith was raised and educated in Ohio. He married Lois Jean Cable on August 15, 1952 in Cleveland. The couple spent 12 years in Brazil where Keith served as a missionary for Word of Life. After returning to America he helped in founding Brazilian Evangelic Association. His constant passion was sharing the love of Jesus Christ with everyone he met. Keith and Lois settled in Springfield, Ohio where Keith worked as an announcer and with the development of WEEC Radio. Keith was an active member of Grace Bible Church in Springfield.
He enjoyed gardening, travelling and Nascar. He loved his two grandsons: Ryan and Justin and especially liked doing outside projects with them when he visited their homes. He loved, really LOVED Ohio State Football. Even in the midst of his dementia, his Ohio State hat was on at all times!
Mr. Britton is survived by his daughter, Linda Britton and her husband Rick Zier of Fort Collins; grandchildren, Ryan Cowden and Justin Cowden both of Los Angeles, Ca.; and many loving nieces and nephews who he treasured. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Jean and brothers, Lyle Britton and Darl Britton. A special thanks to Linda Long for her special friendship in Dad's last years.
We his family are forever grateful for the amazing care he received at Brookdale Assisted Living in Fort Collins, Colo. along with the support of Pathways Hospice and Innovage. They truly became family over the last 2 years.
